Hello and welcome to my blog of my adventures in South Africa
My name is Ryan Scott, I am a student in Cardiff University studying biology. My university course requires me to spend a year on a research placement for a Professional Training Year (PTY).
For my placement I am spending 9 months in the gorgeous country of South Africa, more specifically I am conducting research on social dynamics of Samango monkeys as well as Vervet monkeys, at Lajuma Research Centre in the province of Makhado.
In this blog I am going writing about all my experiences throughout the nine months of research as well as posting any pictures I take while I am out there.
